Stock Controller

Since its formation in 1978, Moore Concrete Products Ltd has developed into a world class, quality focused, precast concrete manufacturer based outside Ballymena. The company is customer focus led, ensuring the continued evolution of our extensive product range, designed to meet the requirements of civil infrastructure, agriculture and building customers across the UK and Ireland.

We are currently recruiting Stock Controller to join our Yard Team. The purpose of the role is to maintain company stock inventory to meet business requirements, replenishing stock levels where necessary and updating stock records.

Hours of work:
Hours will 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday (40hrs per week). Flexibility is essential.

Job responsibilities:
To comply with the Health & Safety management system as laid down in OHSAS: 18001 and the Company rules at all times.
To comply with the Quality management system as laid down in ISO: 9001 and liaise with Quality Control and Quality Assurance to assure high quality standards are respected.
To comply with the Environmental Management Systems as laid down in ISO: 14001.
To participate in all aspects of the Operational Excellence approach.
To operate as part of the team to maintain company inventory and replenish stock levels as necessary.
Maintaining records of daily counts of finished products within the yard (4 or 5 groups daily)
Complete total counts and recheck any variances.
Ensure any amendments of stock are entered to rectify stock on computer.
Assist with store stock counts monthly.
Assist with Supervisor/Coordinators monthly counts.
Assist with preparation for the company’s annual stock take.
To communicate daily with the Yard Supervisor on stock.
Ability to work flexibly within the Yard/Stock department and work within any area required.

Essential Criteria:
Proven knowledge and experience in stock control.
Previous experience within a manufacturing or construction industry.
Understanding of Health & Safety at work.
Flexibility in working hours and strong adaptability skills.
Good communication and teamwork experience.
Willing to clean and maintain working area.
An understanding of both written and spoken English.

Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience as a stock controller.
Counterbalance forklift licence or overhead crane licence.
CSR/ First Aid / Fire Warden Training
