General Duties

Since its formation in 1978, Moore Concrete Products Ltd has developed into a world class, quality focused, precast concrete manufacturer based outside Ballymena. The company is customer focus led, ensuring the continued evolution of our extensive product range, designed to meet the requirements of civil infrastructure, agriculture and building customers across the UK and Ireland.  We are currently recruiting for a General Operative to provide a support function for a wide range of tasks within the Factory. This will include tidying of areas, clearing of walkways including Production/Yard areas and Offices.

Hours of work: Hours of work will be Monday – Friday 08:00am – 17:00pm. This will be 40hrs per week.

    Job responsibilities:

• To comply with the Health & Safety management system and the Company policies at all times.
• To carry out all tasks efficiently and as required.
• To carry out duties including upkeep of the shared facilities, walkways/carparks, keeping store tidy and stock as needed etc.
• To participate in training as per the agreed plan and to achieve an acceptable level of housekeeping.
• To communicate daily with the Standard Production Supervisor on progress.
• To participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
• To work flexibly within the Company and complete duties as required.
• Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed through consultation with the Standard Production Supervisor.

Essential Criteria:

• Adherence to Health & Safety, following Company policies and procedures.
• Good communication skills.
• Willing to clean and maintain work area.
• An understanding of both written and spoken English.

Desirable Criteria:

• Full Clean Driving Licence.
• Ability to operate machinery.
• CSR / First Aid / Fire Warden Training.
