Moore Concrete are currently recruiting for a full-time Quality Manager to lead our Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams. The role will involve driving quality throughout all aspects of the business, ensuring that systems, procedures, and policies are adhered to whilst striving for continuous improvement.
Hours of Work:
Standard hours will be Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00. 40 hours per week. Flexibility is required to work additional hours if needed.

Job responsibilities:
- Engaging with clients to agree standards, visual limits and deliverables prior to job commencement.
- Working closely with customers directly on any quality issues or complaints.
- Ensuring preparation of deliverables such as Quality Plans and Handover records are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Responsible for the upkeep of the Quality Management System and integrating with Health &Safety and Environmental teams to ensure synergy and coordination.
- Coordinating both internal and external auditing processes.
- Identifying and investigating non-conformances in products and processes. Facilitating root cause analysis, investigating, and leading the team in identifying solutions ensuring corrective and preventive actions are properly defined and implemented.
- Manage the processes for dealing with customer complaints, non-conformances, opportunities for improvement, etc.
- Intervene when the quality of work is at risk or has been affected and escalate to senior management level as appropriate to ensure proper resolution.
- Provide input and comment on quality requirements for procurement packages.
- Participate in risk management and lessons learned and support the implementation of the quality management system through quality training and coaching.
- Reporting quality performance with regular KPI’s and quarterly/ annual analysis to the senior management team
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality management
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading and motivating a team
- Strong ability to work to strict deadlines, prioritising and planning workload.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Experience ensuring products meet required specifications.
- Team player with good communication, negotiation & organisational skills
- IT Skills including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Capability to work in a busy factory environment.
Desirable Criteria:
- Construction/Civil Engineering background
- Sound knowledge of material & concrete testing within a laboratory environment
