We are currently recruiting for Senior Project Manager to join our growing team on a permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to effectively manage the Projects team to deliver Civil Projects to specification, on time and within budget for our key clients in accordance with Company standards and targets. To manage a number of complex projects, from inception through to handover to business, ensuring the delivery of specified products and services within agreed time, quality and cost parameters. To develop, streamline, and nurture key relationships with project stakeholders, encouraging a future-orientation and championing the values of the organisation.

Candidates should have a track record of successful management and delivery of projects as well as experience of successful partnership working, relationship development and management.

Candidates with Quantity Surveying experience accustomed to working on large contracts would also be beneficial.

As part of our growing team, you will be contributing to the construction Industry and also award-winning Coastal Protection, Road and Rail projects across the UK and Ireland.

Hours of work:

Standard hours of work will be Monday – Friday 08.00am – 17:00pm however flexibility to work overtime and/or Saturdays as necessary is essential.

Job responsibilities:

  • Providing the key point of contact for our customers during all stages of the project delivery.
  • Work closely with the relevant departments regarding all aspects of the project including health & safety, quality, procurement, production, sales, technical, storage, delivery, offloading and installation.
  • Planning for upcoming projects, creating timelines, and establishing relevant documentation for project works to be carried out e.g., method statements, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, lift and/or installation plans. This should account for health & safety, quality, environmental, technical and customer requirements, as well as any factory constraints, and ensuring all relevant persons are adequately briefed prior to manufacturing.
  • Provide technical guidance regarding specialised works to production teams as required including steel fixing, joinery, and concrete production.
  • Supervise key stages of live projects to ensure all requirements are being met, ensuring effective communication with relevant stakeholders and monitoring project progression against projected plan and costs.
  • Work closely with planning & procurement teams regarding bills of quantities for the project (plant/labour/materials).
  • Ongoing monitoring of project costs to ensure margin expectations are met.
  • Advise management team on any contractual considerations required to ensure timely delivery of projects to client’s expectations.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in engineering/construction/quantity surveying or similar.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Experience supervising a team
  • The ability to read technical/construction drawings.

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Good Communication and teamwork experience.
