We are recruiting for a Civil Production Coordinator to join our growing team to assist the Civil Production Coordinator and Civil Production Supervisor to lead teams within the company’s civil production of precast concrete products, to manufacture the products in accordance with health & safety and quality standards, ready in the time agreed and efficiently produced to target.
Hours of work:
12hr Shift pattern 4-day week (week 1) and 3-day week (Week 2), days of work will be discussed at interview.
Mid-week hours will be 6am – 6pm, Saturday hours will be 6am – 5pm. Shift allowance payable.
Job responsibilities:
- To ensure the compliance with the Health and Safety management systems as laid down in the ISO: 45001 and the Company rules at all times.
- To ensure the compliance with the Quality management system as laid down in ISO: 45001.
- To ensure the compliance with the Environmental management systems as laid down in ISO: 45001.
- To assist in all aspects of the Operational Excellence Approach with the team e.g., Shop floor tours, daily 5-minute meeting, daily production meeting.
- Planning for and managing the production of new products to include creating timelines and establishing method statement for all project works to be carried out, accounting for health & safety, quality, environmental, technical and customer requirements, ensuring all relevant persons are adequately briefed prior to manufacturing.
- To achieve the highest quality standards to exceed customer expectations, minimizing scrap and rework at all times.
- To achieve the agreed production/efficiency targets e.g. adherence plan
- To work alongside the Civil Production Coordinator and assist the Civil Production Supervisor, to ensure that all employees and workers are trained to the competency required, using SOP’s and validations.
- To ensure the maintenance of the production equipment is carried out to the agreed schedule.
- To work alongside the Civil Production Coordinator to deputise for the Civils Production Supervisor when required.
- To actively drive continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
- To work flexibly within the Production department in any area required.
- To carry out Recruitment interviews, factory tours, performance reviews, return to work interviews, disciplinaries with respect and resoluteness.
- Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed through consultation with the Civil Production Supervisor.
Essential Criteria:
- Ability to comply with the Health & Safety system as outlined in OHSAS: 18001 policies and procedures.
- Experience of adhering to high quality standards for products being produced.
- Previous experience of leading a team
- Ability to drive the efficiency of a complete team, and to plan, organise and coordinate production.
- Excellent coaching and communication skills
- Strategic planning skills
- Experience of training and supporting both new and existing staff, recognising the need to continuously develop team members.
- Responsible for the housekeeping and tidiness of the area under your control
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience working in precast concrete production.
- Previous work experience on standard production related projects.
- Strong ability to interpret and implement technical/construction drawings.
- Counterbalance forklift licence or overhead crane licence.
