Moore Concrete manufactured and supplied the Precast Concrete diving boards for the new Aberdeen Aquatics Centre.
The £18.2M Aquatics Centre is the next phase of the Aberdeen Sports Village development, building on the success of the £28M regional sports centre which opened in August 2009 and is a partnership between Aberdeen University, Sport Scotland and Aberdeen City Council.
The centre will provide long course training opportunities for elite swimmers who currently have no facilities north of Stirling and will provide a community facility which will encourage participation in water-based activities at all ages and abilities.
The Aquatic Centre will include a 10 lane, 50m Olympic standard pool with a dividing boom and part floating floor, a 25m x 16.5m diving pool with the latest technology in water cushioning systems and an adjustable floor in the diving pool to enable a range of uses from competition to swimming lessons, spectator seating for 600, full timing/video analysis lab along with a land conditioning area, health suite and a bridge connection to Aberdeen Sports Village.
Moore Concrete provided the precast concrete diving boards for this project for Graham Construction.
