Moore Concrete supplied main contractor FP McCann Ltd with 180m of precast box culverts for the A26 Ballee Bypass at Ballymena, Northern Ireland. The bypass created 2.1km of dual carriageway, incorportating 0.7km of motorway and 1.4km of dual carriageway. Work commenced in June 2009 and it was officially opened in October 2010.
Interestingly, work on the project needed to be delayed after Neolithic remains were found. The project was set back months due to archaeological studies.
