Moore Concrete design and manufacture precast concrete corbels for the top of doorways to give distinction to a house and provide a small sheltered outdoor porch. They are slightly sloped to take away rainwater.
We also manufacture precast concrete Roof Slabs for the top of windows to provide an exceptional distinguished finish.
String Course, also known as Bandcourse, forms a horizontal band either flush or projecting out from the buildings facade. This provides an interesting, stylish, architectural feature, adding to the aesthetics of many buildings. Stringcourse also acts as a drip, preventing water strains from corroding the wall below.
The term ‘corbel’ refers to an architectural piece that projects out from a wall and acts as a type of bracket to carry weight. Corbels are built into walls to a depth that allows the pressure on the embedded portion to counteract the load on the exposed portion. Roof Slabs are a structural element, made of concrete, that is used to create flat horizontal surfaces.
