Box Culverts & Open Channels

Precast Box Culverts are ideal for the culverting of watercourses, cattle underpasses, escape tunnels and shafts.  Box Culvert units are normally designed for 120 year design life and can accommodate highway loading and/or high fill loads.  Moore Concrete designs and manufactures the box culvert units to fit within the customer’s overall culvert design.

Box culverts can be installed very quickly and the road closure is only for a minimal time period.

The Box Culvert units are normally available in 1.5m and/or 2m lengths.  The standard internal sizes range from 1m wide x 0.5m high to 5m wide x 2.5m high.  For requirements outside of this range, please contact the Structural Sales office.  The box culverts have in-wall rebated joints suitable for sealing with any proprietary sealant system. 

Open channels are also available in a wide range of sizes.
