Who Are Moore BIOSYSTEMS

Formed in March 2009, Moore Biosystems aims to "provide the agricultural industry with simple energy solutions".

In 2005, our sister company Moore Concrete, formed a link with a Danish company, Lundsby Holdings. From this alliance a new technology was brought to Northern Ireland in the form of Post-Tensioned Above Ground Stores.

We recognise the need throughout the UK and Ireland for profitable, sustainable energy. As a result, a new agreement has been created with Lundsby Bioenergi PLC (a subsidiary of Lundsby Holdings) which was formed in 1995. They have constructed a large number of farm and communal biogas plants in Denmark and throughout Europe.

We now have the ability to draw on almost 15 years of experience in the construction and operation of successful Anaerobic Digester Plants, each with a diverse input of materials.

We are offering a complete and proven Biogas Plant that is simple to operate and maintain.

What is Biogas?

Biogas is composed of two gases - methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2). Biogas is generated by the biological breakdown of heated organic material in an oxygen free environment. Moore Biosystems provides continuous digestion at mesophilic temperatures (38oC). The methane within biogas has the same calorific value as natural gas and has many uses including the generation of heat and electricity.

Benefits of Anaerobic Digestion

- Biogas from farm waste products is utilised to generate electricity and heat. The electricity can be sold to the National Grid or utilized for the operator's own use.

- Improved manure through the better exploitation of nutrients and a reduction in bacteria and seed levels in the digestate. The digestate gives off much less odour than traditional manure.

- The digestion process is much more stable than at thermophillic temperatures and therefore more easily managed.

- Our biogas system is controlled through a computer system which can be controlled remotely via internet and mobile phone.

Customer Referal

Manager Bo Halberg,Wanderup:
I am the Manager at Niels Lund's biogas plant which lies 20km south of the German border. The plant processes approx. 4m3 of pig manure plus approx. 18 tons of corn silage per day. Since start-up which only took one week, the plant has been running at full capacity (340kw). Together with Lundsby Bioenergi Plc, we have made some small modifications so that the facility is now exactly as we wish. The plant fits in well with our surroundings. This makes it more acceptable for our neighbours and the authorities issuing planning permission.

Gdr. Jens Kirk, Thisted:

I replaced my 12 year old biogas plant in 2008 with a Lundsby biogas system. I was convinced by their credibility and trust as well as the simplicity of the system. The building phase was problem free. Initially there were a few minor running in problems with the motor , but the plant is now running well. I think that I have received what I was promised – a reliable and consistent biogas plant.

Karl Å Jensen, Vester Hjørnmitslev Energy Company

In 2004 we decided to change our old biogas plant. Since Lundsby offered what we required at a reasonable price, they were the obvious choice. The plant is very orderly and simple to operate so I personally have been responsible for running the plant from the beginning. Maintenance is straightforward as only essential components are installed.
